WATER RESEARCH COMMISSION (WRC) ASSISTANT BOARD SECRETARY (PRETORIA) Reference Number: ABS Description The Assistant Board Secretary will be responsible to provide Board Committee secretariat support, assist to manage and implement the WRC’s corporate governance framework and implement the Policy Management Framework. This will include among other things, developing Board and committee annual meeting plans, Board administration duties, assisting with the development and maintenance of the WRC Corporate Governance Framework, Corporate Governance Maturity Roadmap, Governance Registers, and Governance Implementation plan. Furthermore, the incumbent will be assisting with developing and maintaining the WRC Policy Management Framework including policy procedures. Closing date is 31 January 2024. Requirements Applicants must be in possession of a three-year NQF level 6 qualification in business/Law/Accounting/Public Administration/Corporate Governance administration or related field. Studying towards or completed ICGSA Certified Company Secretary or Governance Professional will be an added advantage. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Board Committee work within the public sector as well as 1 year experience in implementing King IV framework and policy management within the public sector environment is required.
