External / Internal Vacancy DIVISION/FACULTY: DEPARTMENT: TTI POST: Operations Manager-TTI POST No: 2026 Peromnes level (05) JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide direction and day-to-day management of the technology platforms as well as 3D printing and other manufacturing activities of the Technology Transfer and Innovation (TTI). This role will also be responsible for the development and execution of strategy operational and tactical plans necessary to execute the strategic objectives on the institutions within the TTI, as well as the management of resources necessary to execute the overall institutional strategy. Key Performance Areas include but are not limited to: • Develop and implement departmental/divisional operational and tactical plans to execute the institution and portfolio strategic objectives and KPI’s. • Provide day-to-day line management of the innovation, technology platforms and resources of the department. • Identify and pursue funding opportunities to increase, improve and sustain the innovation capacity of the department. • Develop and implement systems, processes, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. • Identify and pursue new technology and innovation opportunities to increase and improve innovation capacity of the department. • Plan and manage appropriate infrastructure to support research focus area, institutes, and Centres of Excellence. • Drive efforts to increase the university’s innovation portfolio and standing by supporting internal and external innovation or manufacturing activities. • Implement new research and innovation trends and technology to support and improve research and innovation. • Provide relevant innovation training, coaching, and support, to teams and colleagues at all levels to necessary to execute or improve research and innovation activities. • Establish innovation partnerships between the university, local and international industries within the context of national priorities and university’ strategy.
