APPLICATION CRITERIA: Qualification and Experience: • An appropriate Master’s degree in an Information Technology related field with 70% average; • Possess sound knowledge in research methods and the theory and application of the area of specialisation; • Teaching/lecturing experience or related industry experience will be an advantage; • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage; • Willingness to register for a doctoral program in Information Technology and be able to complete it within six years; • A passion for learning; • Previous lecturing experience in an academic environment is an added advantage • Experience in the utilisation of e-learning platforms will be an advantage • Applicants must be South African citizens who are less than 40 years of age Skills and Competencies: • Above average communication and interpersonal skills • A person possessing initiative and strong ethical integrity • Competent organisational and presentation skills • Teaching or lecturing experience will be an advantage. • Related industry experience in one or more of the Department’s specialization subjects (Business Analysis, Databases, Information Systems) will be beneficial. • Experience in big data, data analytics and business analysis will be an advantage. • Have the initiative and the motivation to work without extensive supervision.
