Knowledge dissemination JOB SPECIFICATION Educational and / or Technical Competencies: Relevant Post-Graduate Honours degree in Economics or related discipline is essential. Knowledge: • Thorough knowledge of applicable legislation. • Thorough knowledge of researching, reviewing, documenting, and disseminating Economic Statistics and Information • Knowledge of the Investment Promotion environment would be advantageous. • Basic understanding in Export Promotion would be advantageous. • Sound knowledge of:
Experience: Five years’ experience at equivalent level in the economic/industry analysis and market research arena. Also, it is to ensure good governance of the organisation through compliance with applicable laws, regulations, best practice, organisational policies, and code of ethics as well as proactively and systematically identifying potential events/risks by ensuring that the management of risks are within the organisation’s risk tolerance level. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (Among others) 1. Provision of legal advice to TIKZN and its business units. 2. Manages all TIKZN agreements by overseeing the drafting and vetting of agreements to ensure compliance with legislative and TIKZN’s policy requirements. 3. Attends to and administers all issues related to the acquisition of immovable property and rights therein. 4. Disseminates strategic, functional, and operational legal information and co- ordinates litigation matters. 5. Advising on and monitoring good governance throughout the organization. 6. Facilitate, implement, and monitor the risk management system. 7. Co-ordinate and monitor organisational compliance. JOB SPECIFICATION Educational and / or Technical Competencies: LLB Degree (Law) or Equivalent Degree in Risk Management / Compliance or Governance. Admission as an attorney of the High Court will be an added advantage. Knowledge: • Ability to Plan, Lead, Organise and Control the provision of legal services to the business in a form of legal opinions/advice. • In-depth experience in Contract Drafting, Conveyancing and understanding of Law of Contract. • Knowledge of King Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa. • Enterprise risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodology. • Good understanding / knowledge of governance practices, internal control systems and ability to monitor risk management activities / programmes (and implementation thereof). • Knowledge of corporate governance requirements. • Internal audit and assurance practices and controls.
