Key performance areas include:• Provide management and support services in all areas of Human Resource activities at TIKZN • Provide Operational Direction in Training and Development • Provide Operational Direction in Recruitment & Selection • Provide Human Resources Support Services to all TIKZN staff • Management of Remuneration and Benefits in TIKZN • Management of Performance Development. GENERAL MANAGER: INVESTMENT PROMOTION The incumbent will report to the Executive Manager: Investment Promotion and will be responsible for providing direction and guidance for the promotion and attraction of domestic and foreign direct Investment to grow the KwaZulu- Natal economy to meet provincial objectives, in line with the strategic objectives of TIKZN. Qualifications, experience and competencies:• Honour’s degree in any of the following fields:Business Sciences, Economics, Marketing or Investment Promotions • A Master’s degree will be advantage • 5 years’ management level experience • 3 years’ experience in Project Management related in Investment Promotion and Facilitation environment • Experience in Investment Promotions • Financial management • People management experience • Project management skills • Report writing and presentation skills • Ethical and of high integrity, demonstrates consistent behaviour • Strong planning and organising skills • Excellent reasoning and analytical abilities • Demonstrated capacity and success making decisions (economic thinker, right conclusions, able to take hard decisions quickly) • Lean thinker and operator (minimise overhead) • Verbal and written communication skills • Flexible. Key performance areas include:• Management of Investment Promotion (Generation and Attraction) • Management of investment facilitation • General management (staff, budget, strategic initiatives) • Provide guidance to priority sectors, strategic partnership and stakeholder relation • Management of corporate strategy • Represent TIKZN at high level investment forums, discussions and conferences. INVESTMENT PROMOTION OFFICER The incumbent will report to the Manager and will be responsible for the generation, promotion, expansion and facilitation of investment opportunities in KwaZulu-Natal as well as service new and existing investors and traders by providing trade and investment services and relieving bottlenecks that may occur within the business environment. This position is based in GAUTENG. Qualifications and experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Economics/Development Studies • Client management experience in previous position. Key performance areas include:• Investment promotion • Investment generation and leads development • Trade promotion • Aftercare and customer relationship management • Assessment of new expansions of companies in Gauteng • Liaison and representation within relevant Stakeholder Forums. EXECUTIVE SECRETARY 3 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will provide executive assistance to the Chief Executive Officer in the execution of the entities mandate through its strategic and operational plan in its day to day operations, assume the task of a coordinator between the organization (TIKZN) and the CEO Office, as well as stakeholders both locally and internationally. Qualifications, experience and competencies:• Matric Certificate • Secretarial diploma or equivalent thereof from an accredited institution • Computer literacy • Five years’ experience as a Personal Assistant within an executive environment, both at the Private and Public sector • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently as well as a team player • Strong organizational skills, report writing and minute taking skills • Effective time management skills • High level of professionalism and confidentiality • Sense of urgency and positive attitude towards work. Key performance areas include:• Diary management • CEO’s itinerary management • MANCO secretariat • Office administration • Travel and accommodation • Support company secretary for Board preparations. A market related cost-to-company remuneration package commensurate with the position and the skills of the appointee, will be payable to the successful candidate.
