Qualifications, experience and competencies:• Post graduate degree in any of the following fields - Business Sciences, Economics, Development Studies. A Master’s degree will be an advantage • Advanced knowledge and experience in the formulation IT policies and procedures • Excellent computer literacy skills • 10 years’ of relevant senior management experience in related field • Good understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PMFA) • This position requires extensive local and international travel (valid driver’s licence) • Must have business understanding (global and local economy), commercial awareness and experience in a public sector/ government environment • Knowledge of international trade and investment dynamics • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to manage a team of professionals, with strong leadership skills • Ability to communicate effectively and be of influence at all levels • Ability to think strategically • Good analytical/reasoning skills • Good negotiation skills • Operational and financial management skills • High level of confidentiality and integrity. Key performance areas include:• Responsible for the management of Research and Information • Sector Intelligence development • Project and deal structuring for finance through packaging of Trade and Investment opportunities • Formulate, implement and manage Information Technology systems and policies in line with business strategy • Management of Corporate Strategy • Responsible for the management of budgets and resources • Lead high level round table sector development discussions • Management of key stakeholder (internal and external) relationships. PROJECT MANAGER The incumbent will report to the General Manager: Investment Promotion and will be responsible for the Promotion and Facilitation of the Investment Opportunities in the key provincial priority sectors including: Renewable Energy, Services and Manufacturing. The Primary responsibilities of the position is to attract Domestic and Foreign Investment in-line with strategic Initiatives of TIKZN. Qualifications, experience and competencies:• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing and related qualifications • Postgraduate qualification is recommended • 3 – 5 years’ minimum experience of project management, preferably within the investment promotion and facilitation environment • Knowledge of sector specific industries and applicable legislation • Report writing and project management skills • Excellent communication skills (physical, verbal and written) • Excellent negotiation skills • Ability to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently • Technical and analytical skills • Presentations skills • Professionalism • Decision-making abilities • Initiative and drive. Key performance areas include: • Investment promotion • Investment facilitation • Strategic partnerships/ stakeholder relationships • Client enquiry management • Project Management • Knowledge of renewable energy, services and the manufacturing sector is recommended. MARKETING OFFICER 3 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT The incumbent will report to the General Manager: Marketing & Communications and will be responsible for assisting the General Manager: Marketing and Communications in day-to-day management of brand management, media strategy, planning and buying, managing the advertising agency in terms of production and implementation of advertising campaigns, marketing campaigns, marketing material and adverts. Qualifications, experience and competencies:• Diploma in Marketing and Communications • Approximately 3 years’ in related Marketing field • Computer literacy • Creativity • Attention to detail • Time management • Communication skills • Stock control. Key performance areas include:• Brand management • Media management • Advertising management • Marketing management • Strategy development and information management.
