KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Responsible for managing the entity's finances including: financial planning, budgeting, management of financial risks, financial record keeping, financial reporting, asset management, and utilisation of funds and financial controls. Advice the Board, CEO and Management on financial issues. Management and training of finance department staff. Manage internal and external auditing processes. Oversee the implementation of all finance and ICT related policies, procedures and strategies. DEPARTMENT: CEO'S OFFICE POSITION: COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING OFFICER PACKAGE: R678177:00 - R753 529.00 PURPOSE: The purpose of the position is to coordinate communications and marketing functions of the State Diamond Trader (SDT). The position reports direct to the CEO and forms part of the SDT Management Team. REQUIREMENTS: NQF Level 7 tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications. Minimum of 5 years working experience in Marketing and or Communications at junior management level. Understanding and knowledge of the SA Diamond legislation and industry. Knowledge of general Government Policies, Principles and Procedures. Advanced knowledge of computer packages like Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook. Experience in formulating and implementation of marketing campaigns. Experience in drafting and printing of publications. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Overseeing the review and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy. Coordinate the creation and publication of all reports and articles. Coordinate and oversee local and international exhibition events and marketing campaigns. Establish and maintain close relations with clients, rough diamond producers and other stakeholders. Prepare and oversee the marketing and communications budget. Ensure continuous updates of the website, intranet and social media accounts. Conduct a market analysis and pursue opportunities for both the entity and clients. Prepare reports for Management, Board and stakeholders. Manage the drafting and printing of the entity's annual performance plan and annual report.
