SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNIT (SIU) ADVERT THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNIT (SIU) WAS ESTABLISHED IN TERMS OF SPECIAL INVESTIGATING UNITS AND SPECIAL TRIBUNALS ACT NO. 74 OF 1996. THE SIU’s PRINCIPAL MANDATE IS TO INVESTIGATE SERIOUS MALADMINISTRATION AND CORRUPTION IN STATE INSTITUTIONS. SIU hereby invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for a permanent position for the Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management. SENIOR MANAGER: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (REF NO. SIU20/11/002) PRETORIA: HEAD OFFICE Main purpose: To implement Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, controls and procedures to ensure goods and services are procured in the correct quantities, at the right time and at the right price, in accordance with PFMA and applicable SCM legislation. To further direct activities concerned with management of contracts and the monitoring of supplier performance in the delivery of goods and services procured for the SIU.
Required knowledge (include but not limited to): Sound knowledge of the PFMA, Preferential Procurement Framework Act (PPFA), BBBEE Act and related SCM legislation. Sound knowledge of Supply Chain Management policies, practices, processes and systems. Sound knowledge of SCM practices in the public sector. Understanding of governance, ethics and values within the supply chain environment. Sound knowledge of contract drafting. Advanced MS Office proficiency.
