SOUTH AFRICAN PHARMACY COUNCIL (SAPC) EVALUATORS OF BASIC AND POST-BASIC OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES (INDEPENDENT CONTRACT) The SAPC hereby invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the evaluation of learning programmes submitted by providers. Applicants from pharmacy practice and academia are encouraged to apply. REIMBURSEMENT OF SERVICES: EVALUATORS WILL BE REIMBURSED AS FOLLOWS: An hourly rate (as determined by Council annually) to a maximum of 36 hours for the first evaluation and a maximum of sixteen (16) hours for subsequent evaluations. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and registration with SAPC as a pharmacist. A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a practising pharmacist in different sectors of pharmacy (i.e. community, institutional/hospital, wholesale, manufacturing, Further Education and Training provider). The applicant must have completed training on the evaluation of learning programmes (either through the Council of Higher Education, Quality Council for Trade and Occupation or other relevant statutory body). RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist SAPC in the evaluation of Basic and Post-Basic Occupational Certificate programmes/ courses submitted by providers, prepare evaluation reports, consolidate evaluation reports, avail yourself to attend the evaluators' virtual meetings, and present reports to the Education Committee (EC). You will also be required to avail yourself to conduct accreditation and monitoring visits to the providers.
