KEY PORTFOLIO AND PERFORMANCE FOCUS AREAS ■Planning, Monitoring & Reporting: Development of annual performance and operational plans, Reporting on performance of agreed targets, Participate in strategic planning processes to develop organisational strategy and the annual performance plan, Collection of performance data and development of quarterly reports, Develop and submit contributions to the Annual report. ■Knowledge Management: Maintain all available information, research and publications in the organization so that they are up to date, organized and easily accessible to all users; Maintain a database with contact details of all municipalities and other stakeholders who must receive SALGA information, research and knowledge products; Disseminate information research and knowledge products to targeted audiences through email, post, website and facilitate engagement with the media the knowledge generated within the organisation; Compile information relating to SALGA learning events including announcements, agendas, presentations and reports; Monitor and update the SALGA Knowledge Hub; Facilitate a culture of knowledge management within the organization and create a better understanding of the knowledge economy by co-ordinating an internal knowledge exchange forum; Keep abreast of new systems, technologies and developments in knowledge management and enhance existing systems in the organisation and the local government sector as a whole ■Provide support to SALGA Learning Events: Planning and hosting of learning events (roundtables, panel discussions, workshops and, forums); Participate in learning events to solicit possible topics and themes for knowledge products (good practices, lessons learned, research, etc.) that can be proposed for development and dissemination; Develop knowledge products from SALGA learning events; Develop and update the SALGA Guidelines on the hosting of Learning Events; Develop and co-ordinate a Knowledge Management Strategy ■Generic Support to municipalities: Development and benchmarking of Knowledge Management departments / functions; Development of job descriptions, job adverts and appointments of KM staff; Development of knowledge products (case studies); Support Knowledge champions.
