SOUTH AFRICAN DIAMOND AND PRECIOUS METALS REGULATOR (SADPMR) The South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator, established in terms of Section 3 of the Diamonds Amendment Act, 2005 (Act 29 of 2005), aims to regulate the industry to ensure that the diamond resources and precious metals of the Republic are exploited and developed in the interest of the people of South Africa, to promote equitable access to local beneficiation and ensure compliance with the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme. Requirements: Bachelor Degree/National Diploma in Security Risk Management or equivalent qualification. Level B PSIRA certificate, NIA Security Advisor/ Security Management courses. 5 years in Security supervisory level experience and experience in CCTV surveillance monitoring. Knowledge: Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS), Minimum Physical Security Standard (MPSS) and prescripts. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Programmes. Knowledge and understanding National Vetting Strategy. Knowledge Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Guidelines and Directives. Understanding of safe working practices and legislations such as COIDA, OHSA Act of 1993. Security legislation and policies. Understanding the mandate of the Department of Mineral Resources and knowledge of government priorities. Duties: To provide a management support service in the area of Security Risk Management services against all kinds of security risks, vulnerabilities and threats. Develop, maintain and implement company strategies, processes and procedures pertaining to fleet, accommodation and facilities management. Ensure the implementation of National Vetting Strategy (NVS), specifically on Security Screening. Ensure the implementation of Minimum Information Security Standards. Ensure the implementation of Minimum Physical Security Standards. Perform security incident analysis and investigation relative to all incidents with advice and closure to all responsible functional management and update management on risks and threats that could impact the organizational business. Oversee investigations of significant threats to and /or loss of misappropriation of assets in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies. Formulate relevant policies, access control procedure manual, disaster recovery plan, business continuity plan, incident response and risk management plans. Oversee the implementation of the emergency evacuation and disaster management plans. Generate investigation reports on all security breaches/incidents and record all such incidents accordingly. Implementation and oversee the Occupational Health and Safety Programmes. Implement the Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Guidelines and Directives. Ensuring that the working practices are safe and comply to legislations such as COIDA, OHSA Act of 1993. Manage, oversee and carry out risk assessment analysis and regular security audits.
