SOUTH AFRICAN COUNCIL FOR SOCIAL SERVICE PROFESSIONS (SACSSP) Debtors Clerk (1 Post) (REF: DC 2021/07/15-P) R 215 526.96 per annum excluding benefits MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To issue customer invoices, properly maintain SACSSP accounts receivable information by ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, undertake monthly reconciliations relating to bank accounts, processing of journals and resolving discrepancies.
DUTIES: Issue customer invoices Allocate customer payments Investigate and resolve customer queries; Ensure that the correct general ledger account codes are used Reconciliation of cash books Reconciliation of unidentified fee account (suspense account) Management of revenue accounts Accounting Administration Budget processing Liaise with customers Provide administrative and technical support and external Service Providers Assist with assessing and mitigating risks Maintain and update customer files, including name, address changes contact details Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with SACSSP policies and accepted accounting practices.
