REQUIREMENTS: •Tertiary qualification minimum National Diploma in Human Resource or Public Administration or equivalent •Minimum of 3 years practical experience in a Human Resources Administration environment will be highly preferable •Knowledge of Human Resource Administration Systems and legislation •Proficiency in at least two languages predominantly spoken within the SBDM area of jurisdiction a strong recommendation •Good communication and interpersonal skills •Advanced Computer skills in all Microsoft packages •Ability to deal with complex HR problems and provide support to the line manager and employees •Extensive knowledge and experience in the administration of ill health, incapacity and disability retirement •Must be able to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines •A valid Driver’s License is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Assist with general labour relations related functions as required by arranging and attending to logistics during and after disciplinary hearings •Administration of leave function in line with policy requirements and parameters •Performs administration duties in relation to resignation / ill health retirement / normal retirement / and termination of services as per Council policy •Advise and administrate medical aid applications and liaise with medical aid schemes on behalf of Council and employees •Administration of housing collateral applications and home loans for employees •Implements the Conditions of Service and Service Benefits to ensure compliance •Assist with the administration of recruitment and selection in terms of Council policy •Receives printouts containing information in respect of absenteeism statistics from payroll and advice line managers where cases of abuse have been detected •Performs all general HR registry and administrative duties.
