FINANCE AND CORPORATE SERVICES 1 X SENIOR CLERK: FLEET AND ASSETS - TASK GRADE TK 6 PERMANENT POSITION: (BASIC SALARY: R 152 460.00-R197 916.00) PER ANNUM Requirements: • Grade 12 • 12-18 months practical, relevant experience in fleet and asset management • Sound Knowledge of bid processes and vehicle licencing processes and procedures • Sound asset management processes • Excellent communication, interpersonal, administration skills • Good planning, organising, report writing and project management skills • Computer competency particularly MS Office packages is essential • Ability to work independently and extended hours • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the District • A valid Code EC driver’s licence is essential. Key responsibilities: • Creation of asset numbers, compilation of electronic asset register and barcoding • Conducting physical asset verifications and preparation of inventory list for insurance • Preparing documentation for insurance claims • Conducting reconciliations of inventory list against barcoded assets • Conducting reconciliations of insurance reports and asset register as well as tracking and tracing activities • Participating in internal and external audit processes as part of the fleet and asset requirements • Prepare monthly reports for submission to immediate supervisor regarding all assets and fleet matters • Attend to all fleet request in line with laid down procedures • Liaise with the licensing and fines division and checking all vehicle logs • Updating and processing fuel and oil control systems • Maintaining register with driver permits, licensing updates and certificate of fitness for all allowed drivers • Conducting weekly vehicle inspections and reporting any deviations to the immediate supervisor • Respond to queries/request and complaints from all Stakeholders pertaining to all assets and fleet of the Council • Ensures compliance with all laid down policies and procedures related to fleet and asset management • Prepare Reports for the manager regarding progress and problem areas • Perform Administrative Duties pertaining to areas of responsibility.
