ROBBEN ISLAND MUSEUM An Agency of the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture Senior Manager Information and Communication Technology 5 (Five) Years Fixed Term Contract Salary Package: R818 175.60 -R1145 445.84 total cost to company Job Grade 6 The above mentioned position is available in the Heritage Department at Robben- Island Museum. Reporting to the Chief Heritage Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for providing ICT Strategic direction and manage ICT support functions including management of ICT projects, resources, network, systems and server infrastructure for Robben Island Museum (RIM) and World Heritage site. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Information and Communication Technology Department of RIM.
Experience and Technical skills: Bachelor’s degree in ICT/ Computer Science/Information Systems/ Computer Science. Masters in ICT/ Information Systems will be advantageous; 8-10 years’ practical experience in ICT industry; Five years’ proven middle/ managerial experience; Knowledge and experience in the following areas: ICT Corporate Governance; ICT strategy development; Enterprise Architecture; ICT support (hardware and software); ICT service management (COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, GWEA); VMware environment (VLANS, Virtual Server Environment, Wireless Environment) and server management (preferable Veeam Backup Sever); Experience in working with Access Points in order to management RIM’s Wi-Fi; Knowledge and experience in working in virtual data centre and data replication; Knowledge in PFMA; Valid code eight drivers’ license; Computer literacy.
