The purpose of the Job is to coordinate, monitor, evaluate and report on the implementation of the RIM INA AFD Digitisation Project - 3-year contract. Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the high-level management and the successful realisation of projects and programmes; • Operational and administrative management of all aspects of the RIM INA AFD Digitisation Projects; • Provide administrative, logistical and coordination support for running training activities, meetings and workshops; • Coordinate, compile, edit and disseminate project reports and briefs on an ongoing basis; • Provide secretarial support to both Steering and Project Committees; • Responding to queries (telephonic, written and walk-in); • Ensuring that approved projects are implemented within agreed timelines and reporting on possible delays; • Assisting with drawing up project budgets and monitoring thereof; • Managing the interns that are members involved in projects; • Assisting in formulating concept notes for new projects and partnerships; • Continuously identifying, monitoring, mitigating and minimising project risks; • Adhoc support to the Senior Manager: Heritage and Research, Collections Manager and CHO on issues related to Digitisation and Digitalisation. Qualification, Experience and Technical skills: • Undergraduate Degree (NQF 7) in Arts Management/ Project Management / Heritage Management/ Social Sciences or Digital Curation; • 2 – 3 years of experience in digitisation and digitalisation, project management, arts management, administrative or similar role; • Proven working experience in project management in a cultural institution or research institution; • Proven working experience in digitisation and digitalisation; • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills; • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; • Ability to think both strategically and creatively; • Excellent problem-solving skills; • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; • Self-motivated.
