PUBLIC SERVICE CO-ORDINATING BARGAINING COUNCIL (PSCBC) The Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council (PSCBC), established in terms of Section 35 of the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995, is responsible for the following: The maintenance and promotion of labour peace. Prevention and resolution of labour disputes and. The promotion of collective bargaining in the Public Service. The Council herby invites suitable persons to apply for the following post, based in Centurion, Pretoria. The PSCBC in partnership with the PSETA would like to invite qualifying graduate to apply to participate in a twenty-four (24) months internship programme in the below mentioned field of study. Applicants must be unemployed and not have participated in an internship programme before.
COMMUNICATIONS: PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE GENERAL SECRETARY STIPEND: R 6,175.00 PER MONTH Requirements: The candidate must be in possession of a Diploma or Degree in Communications, or an equivalent qualification obtained from any recognized South African Institution of Higher Education and Training. The candidate must have a valid South African ID, a valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. Skills and attributes: Interpersonal skills, communication skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy. The candidate must be honest, trustworthy and respectful. Key Performance Areas: Dairy management - the learner will manage an updated diary for the GS, make appointments and assist with planning the diary, monthly and weekly. Internal co-ordination - the learner will support the Executive Office Manager in the coordination of any internal staff requirements, including but not limited to preparing documents required for meetings, internal communication and minute taking. Executive support - the learner will support the Executive Office Manager in the provision of services to MANCO, EXCO, Joint Secretaries and any other stakeholders. Logistics management - Assist with arranging all travel logistics for the General Secretary, Executive Office Manager & Legal specialist. And administrative support - the learner will manage departmental calls and queries directed to the office of the GS.
MARKETING MANAGEMENT: ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR MARKETING, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS STIPEND: R 6,175.00 PER MONTH Requirements: The candidate must be in possession of a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or an equivalent qualification obtained from any recognized South African Institution of Higher Education and Training. The candidate must have a valid South African ID, a valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. Skills and attributes: Strong communication skills, adaptability, time management, task management skills, client orientation and team player. Key Performance Areas: Brand material design and development – the learner will assist with design and layout of all branded material for internal and external use by the PSCBC. Strategic partnership administration – the learner will assist in coordinating meetings of affiliated partners and organizations (e.g., NABC, LERASA), Book venues and make all logistical arrangements, compile meeting documents/packs, Attend physical & virtual meetings, Compile meeting minutes, follow up and provide feedback to delegates. Communications and marketing initiatives – the learner will assist in the activities associated with any campaigns, as directed by the Senior Officer (Communications). Reporting – the learner will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports on Communications & Marketing related activities. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: ASSISTANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER STIPEND: R 6,175.00 PER MONTH Requirements: The candidate must be in possession of a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification obtained from any recognized South African Institution of Higher Education and Training. The candidate must have a valid South African ID, a valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. Skills and attributes: Adaptability, time management, task management skills, strong communication skills (written and oral), client orientation, business understanding and team player. Key Performance Areas: Software and hardware accessibility and useability – the learner will work in collaboration with the Officer IT to address technical issues and ensure that all staff have access to required IT systems, Troubleshoot all technology issues, Provide network access to all staff members, Install workstations, connect and set up hardware and software, Monitor security of all technology, Assist with providing network accounts and passwords as required. Network and server administration – the learner will assist with conducting health checks on servers and ensure optimal operation at all times, apply software upgrades to the operating systems and databases. Business improvement – the learner will assist in analyzing core business processes and determine information systems and electronic data processing efficiency gaps in ICT, Make recommendations to the Senior Manager and assist in the development and roll out of solutions. Reporting – the learner will assist with assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports on IT related activities.
