Requirements: • Relevant Audit/IT and/or IT Risk Management degree or equivalent • 4 - 6 year’s related work experience with relevant IT Risk, Auditing and Operational Risk experience • Knowledge/Experience in Business Continuity Management and IT/Business Disaster Recovery Management • Experience in Operational Risk Management in Financial Services, preference in Asset Management Duties: • Oversee IT Risk Management • Implement the ORM framework and related pillars • Contribute to and oversee BCM and Disaster Recovery • Contribute to the annual review of policies and procedures within Operational Risk Management • Conduct Cloud Risk Assessments • Board, Board sub-committee and EXCO Risk Reporting Internal Use Only Competencies and skills: • Risk Management breadth and depth • Thorough knowledge of risk management principles and practices including enterprise-wide risk and operational risk management principles • Knowledge of the ISO 31000 standards, COSO risk governance principles, Basel, Operational Risk Reporting Standards, Corporate governance principles e.g., King IV • Knowledge of IT standards and best practice frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27002 • In-depth knowledge of the IT environment (networks, security, infrastructure, applications for financial services) • Knowledge of compliance, risk and financial management • Knowledge of financial markets - capital, money, equity, foreign exchange and financial derivatives • Knowledge of the asset management industry • Pro-active thinking • Ability to work with limited guidance/supervision • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to work with multiple task assignments • Strong analytical skills • Strong presentation skills (verbally and written) • Ability to communicate at senior management level • Self-motivated & deadline driven With the PIC having topped the R2,5 trillion mark in assets under management and in the process of entering the global investment market, it is the best asset manager any serious professional would want to be associated with.
