SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER X2 Head Office Temporary OVERALLRESPONSIBILITY The SCM Officer is responsible for providing procurement support services through implementing the PPRA procurement policies, procedures, and systems then monitoring the adherence of employees to these aspects to ensure that PPRA complies with the legislative requirements and standards. REQUIREMENTS • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management. • Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar environment. • Knowledge of supply chain management policy and procedures. • Exceptional financial management and supply chain knowledge. • Knowledge of current trends, research methods and practice. • Good background knowledge and understanding of government policy and legal compliance issues in the public sector. • Computer literacy - MS Office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Adhere and comply to legislative frameworks and internal controls within SCM. • Categorise service providers according to the goods/services they are capable of supplying and obtain quotations for the required goods/services. • Evaluate quote/s to ensure that they are in compliance with SCM policy, processes and procedures. • Prepare comparative schedule per requisition. • Generate requisition form and get it authorized. • Generate and complete purchase orders via the applicable system. • Obtain signed receipt of confirmation of delivery goods/ services from the receiving manager, for record keeping. • Complete goods receipt register when required. • Administer the process of drafting specification/terms of reference and special conditions of contract. • Draft service level agreement or contract and obtain sign off by the selected supplier when required. • Assemble contract documentation provided by the project team / manager. • Verify that the proposal form of contract is consistent with the type of requirements. REMUNERATION: Market related remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
