KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic and operational management by identifying key projects, compiling the APP and operational plans, setting targets, tracking performance and reviewing progress, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective action • Risk Management by engaging with business units, identifying key risks and contingency measures, monitoring the implementation of risk mitigation measures, tracking risk profile changes, reporting on progress against key indicators and presenting findings • Strategic planning and performance reporting by managing the preparation and submission of the strategic plan, APP and operational plans • Financial Management of expenditure by tracking spend against budget allocations, approving expenditure and address any budget variances • Governance by managing policy development, identifying policy gaps, managing policy implementation and compliance • Liaising with Department of Human Settlement, Water and Sanitation and continuous internal monitoring and reporting to ARC VACANCY: SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER (HEAD OFFICE) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:To provide procurement support services by developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems and monitoring adherence to these in order to ensure that the EAAB complies with the PFMA and Government Procurement requirements; organisational policy, procedure and legislative requirements and standards. Effectively manage the facilities management services within EAAB. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum National Diploma in Purchasing Management/ SCM qualification • A minimum of 4 years procurement and office support experience • Extensive knowledge of Procurement principles and practices as well as Government procurement requirements • Working knowledge of the industry and business environment • Knowledge and understanding of legislation applicable to. SAAB • Sound understanding of business procedures, rules and processes as well as awareness of External Environment • BBBEE understanding and knowledge • Financial Acumen • Planning, controlling and communication skills • Quality Focus, Results and Stakeholder Orientation • Good Leadership, networking and influencing • Resilience, emotional intelligence, values and integrity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and develop procurement model, framework, policy and procedure • Monitor and correct compliance to procurement policy • Manage, procure and distribute goods and services • Establish and maintain database of accredited suppliers and Service Providers • Analyse and report on procurement spend • Facilities management • Manage tendering process and adjudicating panels Preference will be given to employment equity candidates whose appointment will enhance representivity.
