MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 3-year Bachelor’s Degree IT, Computer Science or Information Systems. • 5 years’ experience in IT operations and at least 2 years’experience in supervisory role. • Superior working knowledge of computer systems, security, network, and systems. administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems. • Strong leadership and management abilities – must be able to forge good working relations with both internal and external clients. MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 3-year Diploma in Arts Administration or similar. • 3 years’experience in theatre or a similar environment. • Ability to identify and nurture talent, advice and coordinate on development and training of artists in the Free State. • Able to work with communities, developmental artists producers, stage managers, crew, artists, and directors. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER FIVE (5) YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT REPORTING TO THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER All-inclusive annual remuneration package: Market Related The Chief Financial Officer will develop and oversee the implementation of the PACOFS Financial Strategy including but not limited to financial processes and systems, ensuring effective financial management of the Performing Arts Centre of Free State in line with PFMA, Treasury Regulations and other relevant public sector laws, policies, and regulations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • A Master’s Degree and a practising Chartered Accountant. • 15 years at senior management level, at least 10 of which are in the public finance environment. • Membership of a professional body is a prerequisite. • Must have sound financial management, strategic leadership, budget, and treasury experience. • Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Financial Reporting and Financial Statements Preparation. • Must have expert knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), National Treasury guidelines as well as other relevant prescripts within the public sector. • In-depth knowledge of risk management practice. • Expert knowledge of programme, project, and people management. • Demonstrate high integrity and honesty. • Ability to strategize and solve problems. • Strong leadership and organisational skills. • Exceptional communication and people skills. • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Practical knowledge of the auditing environment. • Knowledge and experience of the business of film would be an added advantage. SUMMARY OF JOB SPECIFICATIONS • Implement the creative decisions of the Artistic Manager and the Artistic team. • Identify possible productions for the theatre and present proposals to the Artistic Manager and team. • Co-ordinate the producing and performance of all productions in the venues. • Draw up operating budgets for each project/play. • Oversee the smooth running of rehearsals and to ensure that the needs and problem of directors and actors are dealt with and resolved. • Ensure that set, costumes, sound effects and music designs meet the director’s requirements. • Apply for performance licenses, negotiate a non-returnable advance author’s royalty. • Co-ordinate all departments and stakeholders through the process of mounting a play. • Facilitate contracts and artists payment for all stakeholders involved in the production.
