PAN SOUTH AFRICAN LANGUAGE BOARD (PANSALB) Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) is a statutory body established in terms of Act 59 of 1995 (as amended) for, inter alia, the creation of conditions for the development and for the promotion of equal use and enjoyment of all the official South African languages. PanSALB seeks to appoint results-driven, assertive and dedicated individuals to fill the following position at our Organisation. INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2022/ 2023 Location: Pretoria, Arcadia; Duration: Twelve (12) months Stipend: R6,174.96 per month for relevant National Diploma Qualification R9,378.33 per month for the relevant Degree Qualification/ Honours R11,148.81 per month for the relevant to Masters Qualifications R13,915.12 per month for the Doctorate Qualifications The Pan South African Language Board invites graduates who seek practical work experience and unemployed graduates who are interested in a public service career to apply for internship (an occupationally based work experience opportunity) in the occupations mentioned below for a minimum of twelve months. The applicants must not have been exposed to work experience in their area of study or have participated in an internship programme in a government department or institutions. PanSALB aims to enhance the employability of unemployed graduates as potential employees through this internship programme. STUDY AREA/ QUALIFICATION AND THE NUMBER OF INTERNS TO BE PLACED Below is the list of the study areas wherein interns can be accommodated, and the relevant qualification required: PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: LANGUAGE DIVISION AT HEAD OFFICE QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma / Honours / Master’s Degree in Language Practice / Translation & Interpreting / Linguistic Human Rights / Status Language Planning / Language in Education and Computational Linguistics. NUMBER OF INTERNS: 6 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: FINANCE QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma / Honours / Master’s in Financial Management/Accounting/ Cost Accounting NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree/ Diploma /Honours/ Master’s in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management / Purchasing Management NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: COMMUNICATION QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma / Honours/ Master’s in Graphic Design, Visual or Brand Communication NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma / Honours/ Master’s in HRD / Training Management/ HRM NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: INSTITUTIONAL PERFOMANCE AND GOVERNANCE QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma / Honours / Master’s in Public Administration or Management / Social Science NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 PLACEMENT/STUDY AREA: INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Degree / Diploma in Information in Information and Communications Technology - Support Service NUMBER OF INTERNS: 1 The following must be noted: • Only a minimum of three (3) years tertiary qualification (NQF 6) and above in the mentioned fields will be considered. Applicants who still need to finish or qualify for the minimum entry (National Diploma) should NOT apply. • Candidates wishing to apply for the internship outside their region must be willing to find their own accommodation and transportation considering that they will be earning a stipend. • All appointments are subject to the pre-employment screening. • Graphic design applicants must attach a portfolio (not bigger than 3MB).

The Z83 form must be accompanied by a comprehensive CV, supported by certified copies of educational certificates and Identity Document.
