INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (ICT) Pretoria – South Africa (Ref: ICT27 /2023) CLOSING DATE: 31 JULY 2023 Reporting to the Corporate Services Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for governing, managing and facilitating the provision of information communication and technology (ICT) services in line with the strategic objectives of OBP. Main Responsibilities include: * Manage Service Delivery of the ICT Unit * Develop an annual Operational Plan with regard to all ICT functions aligned to the overall Finance Business Plan * Integrate the measurement mechanisms developed as part of the Finance Departments Business Plan and ensure the implementation of these through the ICT Unit’s Operational Plan * Produce progress and information reports according to requirements and timelines * Prepare and submit unit reports or ad hoc reports to Manager and Executive * Attend Departmental meetings, provide input to problem resolution and take steps to breakdown barriers that hinder progress * Ensure the existence of contracts with service providers and contractors relevant to role before work is started * Manage service delivery by external suppliers and quality assure according to deliverables as indicated in contractual agreements. * Design and develop specific ICT policies and procedures as required by the company. * Identify possible problems within current ICT systems and make recommendations to Executive Management regarding improvement to current systems, processes and policies. * Define , implement and manage the ICT infrastructure * Understanding and the effective management of the ERP to ensure it meets and supports the business’s operations * Assume overall responsibility for the ICT architecture to meet OBP requirements * Make proposals and recommend new ICT technologies to OBP within the mentioned architecture requirements * Continuously improve current ICT practices and processes within OBP and make recommendations regarding potential changes.* Implement approved new practices and processes and ensure alignment with current systems and technologies * Establish a system / process for the managing of data from definition to archive * Define and implement a COBIT governance framework * Manage and implement any relevant audit findings * Ensure capacity to deliver all requirements received from end users both in terms of back-end facilities and resources * Manage the ICT Steering Committee * Ensure that effective IT Service Continuity Plans are developed and aligned to overall OBP Business Continuity Plan * Manage data protection (backup systems and processes). Create a response plan and relevant initiatives based on the identified trends collected from usage information *Define and implement information security systems and processes * Develop a process for data classification for security, risk, and business impact * Ensure that formal security-based documentation, auditing, and testing are in place * Manage and control the department’s relevant cost centres/budget to ensure alignment to the organisation’s revenue and efficiency objectives * Contain costs while maintaining high levels of impact and performance. * Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships for the purpose of expectations management, knowledge sharing and integration, and to manage the organisation’s reputation * Provide for the creation and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships with all relevant stakeholders by ensuring that all partner obligations are met, and expectations exceeded *Responsible for guiding the determination of staffing requirements and overseeing all personnel processes for the department, incl. performance management, mentoring, coaching, recruitment, engagement etc * Ensure the mitigation of the department’s risk profile through the application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles and implementing of sound governance and compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks. * Drive the implementation of compliance with policies and procedures aimed at strengthening the OBP reputation and stakeholder interface. Minimum Requirements include: * BSC degree in Information Technology NQF 7 * Relevant cutting edge industry certifications will be advantageous *8 years relevant Information Technology experience *3 years Supervisory experience * Knowledge of all relevant Legislative and Regulatory frameworks within this area of work. SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER Ref: (SPM27/2023) Closing Date: 31 July 2023 The Senior Production Manager is responsible for contributing to the profitability and growth of OBP Limited by planning, managing and implementing the strategic objectives of the production function. Main Responsibilities include: * Analyse sales forecast to develop a weekly rolling plan for production. * Oversee the implementation of the production plans and report on progress on a weekly basis * Ensure constant communication with Engineering Maintenance and Utilities; Sales and Marketing; Production team; and Supply Chain in order to coordinate and streamline production cycles * Prioritise the production line to be manufactured taking into consideration the importance of the relevant products to OBP as per customer demand. * In the event of major breakdowns, reschedule and reprioritise of planned production and assist in contingency planning to allow for planned and emergency maintenance to take place. * * Ensure that all production Standard Operating Procedures and batch documents are approved and submitted timeously * Ensure traceability of all materials and processes, and that all relevant documentation is available. * Ensure that all managers adhere to quality principles required for ISO certification. * Ensure all actions required for completion of GMP as per road map are completed timeously. * Participate in focused improvement efforts to improve safety, quality, costs and yields. * Participate in training for process improvement techniques and implement and entrench techniques in departments through continuous coaching. * Drive change management initiatives for improved communication of process improvement techniques. * Design and undertake experiments utilising project management principles in order to improve the production processes. *Lead root cause analysis investigations and problem-solving loop closure through use of problem-solving techniques (5-whys; Ishikawa analysis) when KPAs are not achieved. * Determine the deliverables of the department from the strategic intents of the entity. * Ensure that performance agreements for managers are aligned to the strategic intents of the entity * Complete all required Employee Relations Management actions within the allocated time frames. * Manage and control the department’s relevant cost centres/budget to ensure alignment to the organisation’s revenue and efficiency objectives. * Contain costs while maintaining high levels of impact and performance. * Ensure the mitigation of the department’s risk profile through the application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles and implementing of sound governance and compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks * Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures * Liaising and Supervision of Contractors where required * Adhere to all occupational safety, environment and health requirements * Conduct risk assessments prior to task execution and ensure mitigation of risk * Adhere to site safety, housekeeping and environmental requirements . Minimum Requirements: *NQF 8* in Operations Management. *Degree in Biological Science (NQF 7) *At least 10 years’ experience in a GMP biological/pharmaceutical production environment with at least 5 years managerial experience. *Quality management and project management experience is required.
