Ability to Rotate with standby duties * Ability to respond to callouts * Previous experience with liquid nitrogen equipment (ultra low temperature (-70 to -90 degrees) * Previous experience with freeze drying equipment. Minimum Requirements: PhD degree in Biological or Veterinary Sciences (NQF 10) * 10 Years post PhD working experience in Biological sciences research and development environment with the following :International recognition / involvement within area of specialization *Writing and reporting at a high level on behalf of the organisation * Proven track record in the completion of medium to large scale R&D projects * Experience in a specific biological field as applied to the animal health industry including understanding its regulatory environment * Industrial experience in the vaccine development value chain, i.e. discovery, antigen stock characterization and preservation, manufacturing process design, quality control protocol development, product efficacy evaluation, and technology transfer * Working knowledge of quality management systems of interest to OBP, namely; GCP/GLP/GMP/ISO.
