Manages regular business reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Technical advisory services for data & reporting. Designs new plans should the businesses needs have altered, or direction changed. Analyses’ the businesses market for the opportunities to prevent an any disruptions or interruptions. Continuous monitoring of information security. Reviews the businesses current improvement plans, continuity plans and disaster plan to ensure they are still effective and relevant. Build best practices relating to IT governance. Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption. Develops business cases from past business disruptions to inform new processes to allow for business improvement and continuation from past disruptions. Benchmark and research on information security and risk. Define & implement Information security and IT risk strategy. Assist with defining and implementing the Information Security and IT Risk strategy. Responsible for continuous monitoring of information security in collaboration with the ICT Business Unit. Provides management and execution of all Data Analytics activities. Assist with the execution of all Data Analytics activities within the OVG. Information Management. Ensure that information and knowledge management systems protocols and policies are being adhered to with the OVG. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Formal Qualifications: A minimum of NQF 6 in IT related studies. Job-Related Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Direct daily operations of Business Unit, analysing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines. Manages the implementation of business and systems analysis. Allocates resources where needed to resolve or support ICT related problems and queries. Ensures a designated number of resources are always providing ICT support to other Business Units within the business. Monitor ICT governance and risk management. Manage and maintain the OVG ICT governance frameworks, policies and procedures in alignment with the OVG’s IT Governance function and manage compliance thereof. Oversee day-to-day management, monitoring and reporting on systems and processes that support ICT governance. Manage business continuity & IT security. Manages the analysis, design and development of business intelligence for OVG business processes and provides data solutions related to business strategies for the OVG. Manage all third-party ICT service providers in accordance with the relevant service level agreements and regular monitoring in order to ensure that their performance is at an appropriate level. Ensures that the OVG networks and infrastructure are secure from cyber intrusions. Ensures that all OVG servers have back up facilities in case of system failures. Ensures that all OVG servers have efficient firewalls and security checks to prevent any cyber-attacks. Ensures that all employee issued devices are fitted with firewalls, anti-virus and security checks to mitigate any cyber-attacks. Manage the implementation of business and systems analysis. Assigns work to their subordinates and reviews their deliverables. Ensure the provision of appropriate document and records management. Manage data and information management. Manages the integrity and accessibility of the database. Provides direction and support for information management and security. Oversee the database administration. Implements and oversees appropriate records, information and knowledge management systems protocols, and policies. Manage application support, infrastructure support and desktop support. Manage ICT support services. Provide ICT service desk services for both software and hardware related queries. Provide infrastructure and network support. Provide problem management services and manage and resolve ICT incident management occurrences. Provide call management and customer satisfaction services. Monitor and report on the performance of ICT operations and support services. Requirements Formal Qualifications: National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer/information Technology Studies. Job-Related Work Experience: 3 years’ experience in Middle Management. Job-Related Knowledge: Sound knowledge of multiple IT platforms/ disciplines (i.e. Operating Systems, IT facilities, IT Infrastructure, Knowledge Information Management). Disaster Recovery Planning and management abilities. Exposure to Content Management and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and policy development and implementation will be an added advantage.
