Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, Category No.4 Municipality hereby invites appropriate individuals with experience and qualifications to apply for the following vacant position.

SENIOR MANAGER - PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT (REF No.01/2020)
(PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING TWO (2) YEARS AFTER THE CURRENT COUNCIL TERM OF OFFICE)

 
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors of Science Degree in Building Sciences / Architect / Bachelor Degree in Town and Regional Planning or Development Studies. Certificate in Municipal Finance Management or Certificate Program in Municipal Development (CPMD) in line with minimum regulations on Municipal Competency level of 2007. Project Management qualification will be an added advantage. Five (5) years relevant Experience at managerial level. Proven successful Professional Developmental/Town and Regional Planning experience. Registration as a Professional Planner in accordance with the Planning Professions Act of 2002 (Act No.36 of 2002) will be an added advantage. Good knowledge and understanding of relevant polies, legislation, institutional governance systems and performance management, supply chain management regulations and preferential procurement policy framework Act 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000). Knowledge of geographical information systems and spatial, town and development planning. Advanced Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Valid driver’s licence and NO criminal record.
 

 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Manage strategic development projects within the district in line with the adopted national, provincial and local policy documents. Ensure proper management of land use and district spatial planning. Provide guidance in the formulation of the District IDP. Give direction in realising the institution’s mandate and set objectives. Develop strategic action plans for social and economic development Manage departmental budget. Implement Municipality`s Employment Equity strategy.
 
REMUNERATION: Minimum - R 972 648.00/ MIDPOINT - R 1 108 275.00/ MAXIMUM - R 1 257 894.00 (All-inclusive total package)
