NATIONAL REGULATOR FOR COMPULSORY SPECIFICATIONS (NRCS) The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) was established on 1 September 2008 in accordance with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act. It is an agency of the dti, established to administer compulsory specifications and other technical regulations with the view to protect human health and safety, the environment and to ensure fair trade, in accordance with Government policies and guidelines. It is the NRCS intention to promote equity through the filling of posts, according to set Employment Equity targets. To facilitate this process successfully, an indication of race, gender and disability status is required. 1 X Independent Member: NRCS ICT Steering Committee (Chairperson) (Ref: ICT/03) In terms of Sections 76 and 77 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999) as amended and read in conjunction with Chapter 3 of the Treasury regulations, the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications invites applications from interested and suitably qualified persons (individuals not entities) to fill one (1) vacant position on the Audit Committee.
