JUNIOR SYSTEM/HELPDESK ADMINISTRATOR Salary Range R365 535.32 to R422 256.21 per annum (all inclusive) Overview of the Organisation The NMISA is a Type 3A Public Entity established in accordance with the Measurement Unit and Measurement Standards Act, No. 18 of 2006 (the Act). The NMISA is mandated by the Act to provide for the use of the international system of units (the SI) and other measurement units in South Africa, to maintain national measurement standards (NMS) and to determine and ensure the comparability of the NMS. More information can be obtained from www.nmisa.org The Position The incumbent plays a pivotal role in giving proper input to design, development, implementation, support and management of Business Intelligence Systems. He/she must have a passion for precision and excellence who has a basic understanding of Information and Communication Systems and willingness to learn. The successful incumbent will be responsible for Microsoft related issues and software development work. Support and maintaining all computer-based systems and users, networks, Servers and Printers where necessary. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience A relevant formal 3-year IT qualification (i.e., a degree or a diploma). A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an IT and Support related field. Network+, A+ and Security+ certification or equivalent is essential. Good technical skills including but not limited to Desktop\Laptop, Server, and IP Networks to assist in effective troubleshooting and problem-solving. Experience in installing and supporting Windows 10 (or higher) and Windows Server 2016 (or higher) operating systems including Microsoft Office 365 Applications. Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SharePoint experience will be an advantage. Experience in administering and maintaining Backup software. System Administration of NMISA’s Virtual Server Environment. Responsibilities: Document and maintain effective procedures for your environment. Initiate and facilitate technical exercises for disaster recovery to comply with NMISA’s Business Continuity Plan. Managing the NMISA Helpdesk and Interns to provide effective support to the NMISA and the Human Capital Development Plan. System Administration of NMISA’s Virtual Server Environment. Maintain NMISA’s Active Directory. Ensure all backups are maintained in line with the NMISA IT’s Backup Schedule. Monitor and manage network and security events. Technical support of software, networking, and hardware. Perform routine administrative and maintenance tasks on hardware. Maintain NMISA IT’s Assets and IT Storeroom. Monthly reports for all facets of your environment including IT Asset Management. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience. • Three-year tertiary qualification in following fields Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. • Postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. • Knowledge and understating on the following HVAC maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical. • Competent in MS Office Software package. • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills. • Organising skills. Duties and Responsibilities • Assistance with maintenance of appropriate stock levels of spares and procurement of spares, • Assistance with the design, installation, maintenance, and modification of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC. • Assistance with fault finding and repairs to HVAC plant and electrical systems to urgently restore operations in the event of breakdowns, • Assist with inspections of buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations. • Assist with performing electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, fluorescent tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, etc.) using appropriate hand power tools, and specialty tools. • Assist with performing minor plumbing maintenance (e.g.,) replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.). • Assist with performing painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g.,) use brush or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks, and handles, etc.). • Assist with reconfigures, installs, positions, and re-mounts modular offices and space (e.g.,) furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) • Order parts and maintain required documents. • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. • Assist with building maintenance related queries. • Assist with responding to building and maintenance related calls on the agreed SLA times. • Assist in administrative function within Facilities and Maintenance unit. Minimum Qualifications, knowledge and Experience • Three-year tertiary qualification in the field of Supply Chain Management / Logistics • Postgraduate qualification will be an advantage • Knowledge of all relevant legislation (PFMA, etc.) • Competent in MS Office Software package • Analysing, quality and detailed orientation • Good communication skills and report writing skills Duties and Responsibilities • Assist with making copies and scanning of tender documents • Assist with filling of SCM documents. • Assist with preparation and arrangement of meetings. • Assist with capturing data on the system and update the file accordingly • Assist with uploading tender document into the system (Website) • Perform any other assigned job with regard to Supply Chain Management • Update and follow up expired documents such as Tax Clearance and BBBEE certificates and SBD forms with suppliers. • Assist with help desk functions • Assist with follow-up on supplier’s invoices, statements, orders etc. • Assist with document management and proper filling of SCM documents • Learning to coordinate the supplier payment process by registering, processing and forwarding invoices from suppliers to Finance Officer for payment • Assist in receiving delivered goods and verifying.
