NATIONAL METROLOGY INSTITUTE OF SOUTH AFRICA (NMISA) SENIOR MANAGER: INTERNAL AUDIT Salary Range R 1 347 701.09 - R 1 441 436.14 per annum (all inclusive) The NMISA is a Type 3A Public Entity established in accordance with the Measurement Unit and Measurement Standards Act, No. 18 of 2006 (the Act). The NMISA is mandated by the Act to provide for the use of the international system of units (the SI) and other measurement units in South Africa, to maintain national measurement standards (NMS) and to determine and ensure the comparability of the NMS. More information can be obtained from www.nmisa.org PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To provide an independent, objective, assurance and consulting service designed to add value and improve the operations of NMISA. The Internal Audit unit helps the organisation accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Principal accountabilities are to: Develop and Implement an Internal Audit Three Year Rolling Plan, Develop and Implement Audit Methodology, Develop Internal Audit Charter, Develop Internal Audit Unit Strategic Plan / Business Plan, Human Resource Development / Continuous Development, Internal Audit Activity Quality Review, Audit Management, People Management and Empowerment and Change Management, Ethics and Service Delivery DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
