PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION To support the Stakeholder Engagement function in consideration of the strategic objectives of the National Gambling Board (NGB) with reference to conducting public education and awareness interventions. The incumbent should be well versed in the use of social media platforms as well as website information management in order to promote the NGB and maximise reach and impact of the NGB’s targeted education and awareness programme. Stakeholder Engagement Intern Closing date: 19 February 2021 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Stakeholder engagement Assist with updating and maintaining NGB’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter and website updates. Assist in planning, designing, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter. Provide logistical and administrative support regarding webinars, seminars, conferences, and workshops. Assist with the coordination and implementation of broad-based public education and awareness programmes and interventions.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Qualifications National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Marketing and Communications, Public Relations or similar field Experience No work experience is required. Competencies, skills and knowledge. The appointee must have the following skills: Problem solving and decision making Creative and innovative thinking Verbal and written communication Customer focus and stakeholder management The appointee must have the following administrative skills: Ability to design and manage an internal newsletter Familiarity with marketing computer software as well as social media and digital platforms Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques Must have a passion for communication and marketing The National Gambling Board subscribes to the principles of Employment Equity and reserves the right to not make an appointment.
