HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST REF: OPS/H&S/2020/01 An excellent opportunity exists for a dedicated and responsible individual to fulfil the role of Health and Safety Specialist in the Operations Department. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the overall health and safety compliance of the organisation in line with all applicable legislation and standards.
Qualifications: • Minimum of a Matric and a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Health & Safety Management with seven (7) years' relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree NQF Level 7) in Health & Safety Management with five (5) years' relevant experience • Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a professional Health & Safety Agent will be advantageous • Knowledge of OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Fire Safety Standards and Incident investigation methodologies is required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing skills • A valid driver's licence • Must be prepared to be available after working hours to attend to emergencies as well as to work standby as and when required.
