MAYIBUYE TRANSPORT CORPORATION (MTC) RE-ADVERTISEMENT INTERNAL/EXTERNAL ADVERT Mayibuye Transport Corporation is a Provincial public entity under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transport — Eastern Cape whose objective is to provide and maintains the highest possible standards in the provision of an effective, efficient and safe passenger transport service to the Eastern Cape communities on selected routes. Applications from suitable candidates are hereby invited for the position of:- CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER - FIVE YEARS PERFOMANCE BASED CONTRACT (SALARY PACKAGE BASED ON TOTAL COST TO COMPANY) SALARY NEGOTIABLE PATERSON GRADE - E2
• Supporting the CEO in ensuring that the budget is aligned to the relevant policies, the Corporate Strategy and the Corporation's Operational Plan. • Developing and implementing appropriate strategies for enhancing the revenue of the corporation and/or reducing revenue losses. • Regulating and maintaining cash flow and the short-, medium- and long-term viability of MTC operations. • Leading and managing the process of preparing and submitting financial reports/statements to relevant stakeholders within stipulated time frames and quality requirements. • Oversee the development and implementation of the MTC supply chain management strategy. • Oversees the management of all MTC assets and liabilities. • Making sure that the relevant audit authorities have timely access to the financial records and all relevant information of the corporation to enable them to perform their respective functions. • Preparing the relevant reports and documents necessary for the carrying out of an effective and efficient audit process. • Contributing to and supporting the CEO with the establishment and maintenance of effective, efficient and transparent systems for financial risk management and internal control. • Managing stakeholder consultation processes and advising the accounting officer on stakeholder consultations in line with relevant legislation, regulations and policies. • Directs and guides financial projects including managing the process for conceptualizing and designing the financial projects in line with the corporate strategy.
QUALIFICATION(S) AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • A Post —Graduate Qualification in Accounting (NQF 8). • Certification with a Professional Body as an Accountant • A minimum of 5 years post SAICA articles experience of which three years must be at a senior management accounting role in a GRAP & PFM Act financial environment • Exceptional competencies in stakeholder relations management • Advanced business knowledge. OTHER ATTRIBUTES: • Demonstrate ethical leadership and business integrity • Ability to drive and manage change and innovation within the organization. • Exceptional business management skills. • High level competence in Project financial management • Thorough knowledge of the PFMA and other statutes regulating financial reporting. • Exceptional competencies in stakeholder relations management • Attention to detail.
