MATTHEW GONIWE SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE (MGSLG) BACKGROUND Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance (MGSLG) Is a Section 21 organisation located in Vrededorp, Johannesburg. MGSLG is an entity of the Gauteng Department of Education and was established to research, develop, implement and evaluate cutting edge capacity building programmes in the areas of school governance, leadership, management and teacher development to empower school governors, principals, deputy principals, HoDs and educators for schools in the Gauteng Province. • Researches and reviews product catalogues and other vendor material sources to assist customers with item and equipment requests.
• Prepares and submits formal bids or informal requests for quotation and coordinate discussions and negotiations between involved parties. • Participates in discussions with vendors and contractors to ensure maximum contract compliance. • Oversee overall SCM operations including purchasing of inventory, assets and database of suppliers • Recommends and improve efficiency and meaningful solutions • Interacts with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are being met. Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attributes • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or NQF equivalent. • The incumbent should have in-depth professional knowledge and experience in a specialised field or broad knowledge of a number of fields such as supply chain, purchasing, education related services, training and development, asset management (demand management, acquisition management, and procurement). • The incumbent should also have knowledge regarding the PFMA, Treasury Regulation as well as an understanding of how non-profit organisations function and the financial rules and regulations that guide them. • The incumbent should also have about 5 - 8 years of experience in the SCM. SENIOR MANAGER: LEADERSHIP AND SCHOOL GOVERNANCE (X 2 POSITIONS) (Reference Number: LSG1/2019) 5 Year Contract Job Grade: D3 The incumbent will report to the Director Leadership / Director School Governance Job Summary To ensure the efficient, effective, and strategic engagement with various stakeholders and the delivery of relevant training programmes of high standards to all interested parties from inception to the end. Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities • Training needs analysis • Designing and developing a training programme • Designing materials • Monitoring and evaluation of training • Conducting impact assessments • Research and innovation • Programme Implementation • Monitoring and evaluation • Reporting Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attributes • Honours Degree in education, training, learning and development, or other related areas. • The incumbent should have knowledge and experience in education, training delivery, training analysis, materials development, teacher development, teacher training, leadership and management/governance development. • The incumbent should also have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the relevant or related educational fields • Should have experience in a management role. • Must be computer literate and experience/expertise in digital / online learning will be an added advantage • Must have project management skills • Must have good communication and writing skills OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR: COMPANY SECRETARY ASSISTANT (Reference Number: ADM1/2019) Full Time Contract Job Grade: C1 The incumbent will report to the Company Secretary Job Summary To provide personal administrative support to the Company Secretary, ensuring efficient administrative tasks are established and maintained. The Office Administrator will also be responsible for assisting the Company Secretary in ensuring that the Board and relevant committee members receive the support necessary for them to discharge their duties. Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities • Sets up and maintains efficient office systems, including manual and computerised information retrieval systems. • Drafts and types correspondence, reports, and other documents for the Company Secretary. • Deals diplomatically with telephone enquiries and visitors to MGSLG and/or for the Company Secretary. • Photocopies, distributes, and files documents as appropriate. • Copies typing documents. • Takes minutes of meetings, types them up, and distributes to the relevant individuals. • Researches and assists with the preparation of policies, and procedures. • Reviews and edits reports to the senior executives. • Prepares correspondence to senior executives. • Prepares documents and reports on The computer • Schedules relevant meetings. • Prepares agendas for relevant meetings. • Ensures compliance, as closely as possible with the King Code. • Other duties as relevant per department. Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attributes • The incumbent must have a 3-year tertiary qualification (Diploma or degree) in Law or paralegal. CIS is advantageous to the job role. • The incumbent must have at least 2 years' experience working as a company secretary assistant or as a legal assistant within a legal or related field. lie/she must be able to take minutes at board meetings and be fully conversant with the Companies Act and dealing with CIPC. • Exposure to legal drafting would be advantageous.
