LOCAL GOVERNMENT, WATER AND RELATED SERVICES SETA (LGSETA) The Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) was established in terms of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998 and is responsible for the facilitation of skills development within the local government sector. INTERIM CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (1 POST) Ref no.: TECOO/001 Duration: Fixed term contract of 6 Months, with possible renewal thereafter. Position location – Bedfordview, Gauteng Part Time Gauteng: Head Office POSITION OBJECTIVE / JOB STATEMENT Brief summary of the main purpose of the job and the primary reason for its existence, scope and range of action. The interim Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for managing the delivery of the LGSETA core operational services, which include skills development programmes, learnerships and ETQA. Oversee the day-to-day management of the Operations Divisions within the approved budget and service levels, while ensuring compliance with operational policies, procedures and relevant legislation and Skills Development regulations.
