DUTIES: Coordinate the administration of students and lecturers within the Engineering Section. Ensure the implementation of the Campus curriculum as required by legislation. Ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources. Coordinate all academic activities within the section including but not limited to the management of time tables, attendance, staff allocation, ordering of textbooks, monitoring and evaluation of curriculum delivery. Provide professional support to lecturing staff and students. Keep the management abreast of all aspects of academic services and administration in the section. Prepare and manage plans and report on all activities in the section. Manage and supervise assessment and examination processes in the section including timeous marking of script, development of question papers, and preparation of all ISAT and ICASS activities including the verification of marks. Ensure adherence to policies on attendance and sub-minimum. Liaise with employer for the placement of Students and Lecturers. POST: SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER: STUDENT REGISTRATIONS - PERMANENT SALARY: R316 791 PER ANNUM (SL 8) REF: LET 17/09/2020 CENTRE: CENTRAL OFFICE REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate National Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology majoring in Information System Management or Software Development. At least three years’ experience in student registration services and/or data management. Understanding of transformation issues and capacity building process in the TVET Sector. Sound understanding of prescripts governing the TVET Sector this include but not limited to CET Act of 2006 as amended, standard operating procedures for registration; admission policy; TVET mis; etc. good communication, negotiation; problem solving skills. Must have a valid driver’s license. Experience in PSET Sector will serve as an added advantage. DUTIES: Provide Support to registration officials and users. Ensure that Student Registration system is maintained and monitored. Provide terminal access to users that need access to the student registration system. Ensure student registration system upgrade is done. Ensure access control and access rights are implemented in the student registration system. Ensure all registration setups are installed, coordinated, maintained and monitored. Monitor and implement enrolment deadline dates for the submission of enrolments and marks. Perform exam procedures. Liaise with DHET exam section. Ensure that ICASS and ISAT weight values are setup and final marks calculated correctly. Submit ICASS and ISAT marks. Import exam results; student enrolment and result queries. Ensure that backups are made on the registration system; Develop, manage and implement student registration services, Provide advice and guidance on the enrolment of students. Validate the reliability of registration documentation. Perform Management Information systems with reference to registration and examination. Provide support to campuses in the printing of attendance registers and student cards. Validate, correct and submit TVETMIS registration data on time as per DHET schedule. Provide high level reporting and statistical data analysis on registration and examination. Ensure that systems are in place to comply with DHET enrolment and data standards and procedures. Liaise with registration service providers and arrange for training when needed. Monitor and/or communicate with students through Short Message System (SMS). Capture online quarterly reports and submit it as per DHET schedules. Import and update NSFAS student credits. POST: LECTURER: OFFICE PRACTICE AND NEW VENTURE CREATION - PERMANENT SALARY: R211 731 PER ANNUM (PL1) REF: LET 18/09/2020 CENTRE: GIYANI CAMPUS REQUIREMENT: An appropriate National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree. Relevant working experience in education/Training sector or industry will be added advantage. Knowledge of theory and practice in the relevant field. Sound communication skills. Computer literacy is highly recommended. DUTIES: The successful candidate(s) will be required to lecture NCV and report 191. Management of students and administration of records. Classroom facilitation. Ensure provisioning of quality education and training in line with the College/DHET requirements. Assess students’ performance. Mark students scripts and provide feedback. Liaise with students, parents and other relevant stakeholders. Support student development and performance. Monitor the students in the workplace. Report to management from time to time. POST: ADMINISTRATION CLERK: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION (REF NO LET 19/09/2020) SALARY: R173 703 per annum (SL5) CENTER: Central Office (Tzaneen) REQUIREMENTS: Matric or National Senior Certificate with three years National Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification. A minimum of two years’ experience in Human Resource environment. Knowledge of Public Service Records Management and General Registry functions, must be conversant with all aspects of HR and be able to implement and advise officials, knowledge of PERSAL system; Good verbal and written communication skills. Be able to treat matters and information confidentially. Rendering professional advice to line function on the effective and efficient interpretation and implementation of the College HRM policies and other related prescripts, Computer literacy (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Outlook). A valid driver’s license. DUTIES: Administer all Human Resource functions including PMDS Management, Recruitment and Selection, Typing and drafting of letters, memoranda and submissions. Administer all conditions of service functions on PERSAL concerning appointments, transfers, promotions, upgrading, translations, movements and termination of service, probation periods, recognition of higher qualifications obtained, PILIR cases, recognition of long services, acting appointments, State Guarantees, housing and home owner’s allowances. Assist with all aspect of pension administrations. Manage leave applications and records. Handling of all HRM administration functions. Compile daily statistics and update databases. POST: CLEANER - PERMANENT SALARY: R102 534 PER ANNUM (SL2) REF: LET 20/09/2020 CENTRE: TZANEEN CAMPUS REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. Applicants should be committed, hardworking and must be able to work long hours and under pressure. Applicants must have good interpersonal relations, good verbal communication and be able to speak at least English. DUTIES: Maintaining the cleanliness of the building in which they work by performing various cleaning duties. A cleaner may be responsible for any or all the following tasks. Dusting and waxing office furniture; sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing of floors, vacuuming and shampooing floors; cleaning walls, windows and doors; cleaning and empty of dirt bins; collecting and removing of waste papers; freshen the office areas, clean the college kitchen and basins; wash and pack kitchen utensils. Empty and wash waste bins and send recyclables to disposal area.
