Key Performance Areas • Manages income sources of the respective Directorates to ensure affordable tariffs for services provided resulting in sustainable local economic growth, effective and efficient service delivery. • Manages debt collection of Council to ensure payment of services provided by Lekwa Local Municipality and ensures timeous billing and rendering of error free accounts to enable consumers to pay accounts before the due date. • Continuously evaluates and implements new and existing internal control procedures and measures to enhance internal controls in Council. • Manages special projects i.e., Community metre readings, and financial information systems providers to ensure rendering of accounting services. • Maintains and manages the billing system in the Unit to ensure effective and efficient integrated computerised systems. • Compiles and manages annual operational and capital budget of the Income Unit within the budgetary constraints of Council. • Implement Council policies relating to financial management. .
