Task Grade 13 Minimum Requirements • National Diploma/B Degree in Financial Information System • 3 years' experience on systems development and finance systems • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management (SAQA Qualification ID No. 48965) will be an added advantage • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Advance Computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • The incumbent must have a valid driver’s licence Key Performance Areas • Review the effectiveness of the Financial Systems, usage and identifying issues • Troubleshooting and fbdng finance related system issues • Testing and analyzing the functionality of Financial Systems • Managing system upgrades with the IT department • Ensure integration of sub systems (Payroll, Vending, Valuation, GIS etc) into the Core Financial System • Designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data • Reviewing and maintaining all financial systems policies and procedures • Train employees on how to interact and interpret data for accounting purposes • System Administrator (grant employees access to the system & periodically review access) • Perform Financial system month end & year-end closure • Customize internal controls and hardware to adjust how an IT system operates within the Municipality's infrastructure. POSITION: ACCOUNTANT MOVABLE ASSETS Reference number: BTO/AMA/01 Salary: R 416 446.22 per annum. Task Grade 13 • National Diploma/B Degree in Financial Accounting, Accounting, Cost Management Accounting, Finance Management or Internal Auditing • 3 years' relevant experience • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management (SAQA Qualification ID No. 48965) will be an added advantage • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • The incumbent must have a valid drivers licence or must have the drivers' licence within 12 months of employment. Key Performance Areas • Monthly updating the movable asset register • Physical verification of Assets • Effective Management of disposal process when economic life of an asset has expired • Develop, implement and manage mechanism to safeguard assets • Coordinate and control procedural administrative requirements, record keeping and reporting deadlines associated with the functionality • Keep abreast of legislative changes and emerging trends in the profession POSITION: ACCOUNTANT EXPENDITURE Reference number: BTO/AE/01 Salary: R 416 446.22 per annum. Task Grade 13 Minimum Requirements • National Diploma/B Degree in Financial Accounting, Accounting, Cost Management Accounting, or Internal Auditing • 3 years' relevant experience • Certificate in Municipal Finance Management (SAQA Qualification ID No. 48965) will be an added advantage • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • The incumbent must have a valid drivers licence or must have the drivers' licence within 12 months of employment. Key Performance Areas • Supervise verification of all types of payments and journal vouchers to ensure correctness and proper application of Accounting Standards in the treatment of transactions. • Manage the payment proposals process by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of proposal of payments • Supervise the processing of payroll • Prepare creditors reconciliation • Prepare salary reconciliation • Prepare & submission of SARS returns • Prepare investment register & monitor investments of the Municipality • Maintain Contract registers
DEPARTMENT: COMMUNITY SERVICES AND SAFETY POSITION: MANAGER PARKS, GARDENS AND AMENITIES Reference number: CSS/MPGA/01 Salary: R 608 636.32 per annum. Task Grade 16 Key Performance Areas • Manage and control the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the development and maintenance of Community Amenities • Manage and oversee the operations of Parks Sport Fields, Cemeteries, ablution facilities, public open spaces, bush clearing, grass cutting, office gardens, etc • Manage and oversee the coordination of all awareness and educational projects • Responsible for all Cleansing related projects • Responsible for maintenance of all public facilities • Ensure compliance with environmental legislations • Compiling monthly, quarterly and annual reports regarding cemeteries, parks and recreational facilities.
