MANAGEMENT ECHELON DIRECTOR: PROVINCIAL ECONOMIC ANALYSIS REF NO: KZNPT 21/09 SALARY : R1 057 326 per annum, (All-inclusive package) CENTRE : KZN Provincial Treasury, Pietermaritzburg REQUIREMENTS : A 3 year NQF level 7 Degree in Economics. A minimum of 5 years’ middle management experience in an economic environment. A valid driver’s license is necessary and applicants must be willing to travel and in the case of persons with disabilities who are unable to personally drive, proof of the ability to meet work related travel commitments is required. PGDS (Provincial Growth and Development Strategy) Provincial Economic Recovery and Implementation Plan, PSRF (Public Service Regulatory Framework), Public Finance Management – Best practices, National Treasury Guideline documents, Infrastructure instruction notes (Infrastructure Delivery Plan), South Africa’s Fiscal and Monetary Policy Provincial policy priorities, Budget formulation, Code of Conduct Legislation applicable to allocated departments, Political Socio-economic environment surrounding allocated departments. DUTIES : Ensure the compilation of the provincial economic analysis, review and outlook, Ensure the provisioning of inputs and support to the KZN budget process and the estimates of provincial revenue and expenditure, Manage the KZN database and economic model, Conduct provincial public policy analysis, economic feasibility and impact analysis provincial expenditure and output trends and patterns through quality research, Ensure the effective and efficient management of the resources allocated to the component.
