COMPETENCIES NEEDED: Sound knowledge of a variety of aspects such as: • Sound knowledge in Government Financial Systems and Accounting, i.e. Hardcat, LOCO and BAS; Financial Management; Asset Management Process; Risk Management. • Knowledge of Loss Control Policy and Procedures; Treasury Regulations; PFMA; Public Services Regulations; Constitution; Public Service Code of Conduct; Public Service Act; • Knowledge of Service Delivery (Batho Pele); Administrative procedures and systems; Departmental Policy and Procedures. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The incumbent will be responsible for the following: •Recording, Updating and maintaining manual and electronic registers. •Investigate cases and follow up on the progress of cases in compliance with relevant policies. •Maintain and control functions relating to the Loss Control System. •Provide advice and guidance pertaining to damages and losses. • Report on the progress of cases, suspense accounts pertaining to damages and losses.
