Requirements Gr.12 at an NQF level 4, An appropriate National Diploma in Financial Management/ Accounting at an NQF level 6/ relevant Degree in Accounting/Financial Accounting; Computer literate MS Word & Excel; Code B/08 driver’s license; 3-5 years relevant experience. N.B. : Shortlisted Candidates will be subjected to a competency assessment test. Minimum Competency requirements Applicants for posts affected by the National Treasury Minimum Competency Regulations, 2007 will be required to obtain those competencies within 18 months from the date of commencement. Duties Co-ordinates and implement the processing and payments of salaries and wages, through the implementation of laid down remuneration policies and procedures dictating employee and councillors remuneration, payroll production; and executing authorised benefits and allowances associated with Councils Conditions of Service including the following:- - Controlling sequences associated with the verification and validation of information/data related to the relevant payrolls and producing audit trails - Prepares Financial Statements and reports on the payroll expenditure - Maintaining records and reports on transactional processes, related documentation, and correspondence related to the payroll administration Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of The Income Tax Act, MFMA, MSA, Treasury Regulations and other Acts applicable.
