MANAGER: LEGAL SERVICES All-inclusive package: R766 584 per annum Ref: (ITAC 5/2023) Overview: To provide professional legal services to ITAC. Requirements: The applicant must be in possession of an LLB or equivalent four-year law degree, (preferably with a module or Masters in International Trade Law). The applicant must be an admitted attorney or advocate. SENIOR INVESTIGATOR: IMPORT AND EXPORT CONTROL Salary R491 403.00 per annum: (Ref: ITAC 4/2023) Requirements: An appropriate Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce or equivalent qualification. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate, will be required to assist in the enforcement and administration of the relevant provisions of the International Trade Administration Act, 71 of 2002, with specific focus on enforcement. Participate in scheduled and unscheduled inspections and investigations, ensure compliance to the Act, regulations and related regulatory and legislative requirements. Gather information pertaining to alleged contraventions of the Act. Conduct investigations pertaining to illegally imported goods or goods destined for export. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the conditions of import/export permits. Seize imported/exported goods due to non-compliance. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and relevant law enforcement agencies such as SARS Customs, SAPS and the NPA. Manage internal office administration and reporting to the Manager.
