INTERNATIONAL TRADE ADMINISTRATION COMMISSION OF SOUTH AFRICA (ITAC) ADMINISTRATOR: IMPORT AND EXPORT CONTROL (Ref: ITAC 11/2022) Salary: R147 459 per annum
Requirements: Grade 12 or National certificate (Vocational). Knowledge and understanding of the Import and Export environment, specifically the administration of an import and export control regime, applicable to the importation and exportation of identified goods for various reasons. Proven experience in office administration. Advanced computer literacy. Ability to work in a team and under pressure. Ability to provide creative contributions to the organisation. Ability to function independently and communicate effectively. Key Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be required to assist in the administration of relevant provisions of the International Trade Administration Act. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administration and adjudication of import and/or export permit applications. Consider and administer applications and correspondence as the first line adjudicator. Participate in all adjudication of permit applications on electronic permit systems. Correspond and liaise with permit applicants or industry representatives. This will include assisting clients with enquiries related to Import and Export Control, and also general ITAC matters (including telephonic and electronic enquiries). Acknowledge receipt of import and export permit applications and any other related correspondence. The successful candidate may be moved to any administrative position within ITAC, should the need arise. ITAC is an equal opportunity employer.
