The scammers just created their email address in June 2019 with a hope of fooling the public.

Official Prasa Tenders/Quotations can be found at http://www.prasa.com/Tenders.html

Kindly block metrorailpta.co.za and the sender to stop receiving any further communication.

Thank God I got suspicious when my bid was just accepted so quickly and so easily by Candice Adams. I checked the govt. tenders and found no record on the database, neither was the tender number of the usual format and so it was not recognised. This caused me to search using her name and voila! these comments came up. I was going to lose R230 000. worth of equipment!

Almost got into the loan of R490K the other day,

The crazy part is that they even give you an "Acceptance letter " which makes it seem legit.

The old saying is, if its too good to be true ,then its true good to be true.

Always verify the email address domain its coming from and the sense of urgency will always be a red flag, Confirm the tender number and possible call that department to confirm before you male any hasty decisions.

We live in a sad cruel and brutal world were some human beings will feed off the blood and sweat of others.

Dear All

Please be vigilant when it comes to tendering.

I received this information for RFQ: OPT-20/21-045 for the supply and delivery of QVX4-12L Cutter x10.
Contact person is [email protected]

The product can only be purchased from TYK Powertools or VIC Powertools who have the identical website and almost identical contact details.

The spelling on the RFQ was a total give away.

Basically, you receive an email from a government entity, you search for the required product which is usually linked to 1 company as they are a "preferred supplier".
They send you a quotation, you submit your quote to the government entity, you are awarded the tender and receive a PO, you then pay for the product from the supplier who quoted you, and the beauty of it all is you never receive your goods. Luckily, I haven't fallen for this scam, unlike a few unfortunate businesses.

Be very careful of these scammers. I personally do not work on any tender that has been sent to me directly. I prefer to search for the RFQ, the contact person and double check the contact details via google, which most of the time does not exist.

Since registering on the CSD, i receive these scam emails at least once a week.

I did actually phone the reception at Prasa Umjantshi House and the lady who answered named Nosizwe said that she will take my details down and ask someone to phone me and she will send a tender to me.
Now she keeps sending FAKE tenders!
Its ridiculous that a lady at the reception is in cahoots with someone else there and are committing fraud and sending fake tenders out yet they still have their jobs!
What disgusting filth working at PRASA! (and I dont mean that everyone is like that, its the few like this person who is!)

I received confirmation yesterday from Nkosi Grace that i was successful in winning a tender . She sent me the PO & confirmation letter confirming this . The 10 X Fogger units quoted on as per spec can only be found by Expo Suppliers in PE who i assume is in on the scam.

Nkosi Grace ( [email protected] ) was also mentioned by Ktlego above in March already , why is Prasa not doing anything about these people.

Good day,

I was contacted by Candice Adams last week Thursday for a Tender on , product name: 8p mzuuy ezaa wheelchairs. Candice sent me a Wheelchair Tender request document to complete which I did. She also sent me (what looks like) a DOH (dept. Of Health) Acceptance Form which I needed to complete once they "Approved" me as the preferred vendor. Amount for tender was R1,500,000 for 5 or 7 or 15 Wheelchairs to be supplied.

1. I was surprised that DOH would request this sort of service from myself, as I didn't registered for this sort of service on CSD.

2. I was also surprised that Ms. Candice would give options (ie.for R1.5mil a supplier has an option of quoting for 5 or 7 or 15 Wheelchairs)...who does that??? I think government would be clearer on their requests to the public/vendor.

Important to note is that Candice gives 45 Commissioner Street as a location for unsuspecting people to deliver the goods. Please don't go there as they may lay in wait to rob people.

Nonetheless, she (Candice), works with a company called Health Equipment Inc. Their website address is https://www.google.com/amp/s/hhhealthcare.online/8p-mzuuy-ezaa-pro-electric-lightweight/%3famp=1

Fortunately, I didn't pay any money over to Health Equipment Inc. for the Wheelchairs,. Instead, I informed her (Linda Kruger), that I would need to drive down to Cape Town first to come see that the product is the same as advertised. I drove down Friday. Yesterday I spent most of the day trying to call Linda. He numbers (076 941 1874 and 021 054 9032) just keeps ringing or 021 one - goes to voicemail. She has refused to respond to any of my mails as well.

Their documents, quotes, invoices and website does look legitimate but there are spelling errors and text is misaligned on documebts.

Is there anything that can be done to stop these people? I lost R10,000 this weekend as I travelled to CT for absolutely nothing.

I also received an email from Candice Adams to quote on Wheelchairs. I didn't bother because I quickly realised that the DOH website address was incorrect. I receive a lof RFQ's from fraudsters and usually don't even call or respond to those emails. I was once scammed R3000 for catering in 2009 and I learned from there onwards that if it looks suspicious, I don't entertain it.
