Good day,

I am a victim of such a fraudulent scam. How will this affect me? I entered my banking details and I am extremely concerned. My reasoning for thinking that it is legit, is that it all looks so authentic and the fact that there is back end IT work is actually very good. From the front page to the actual RFQ page. After seeing your example, I am in awe of these professional thugs. The other reason for believing the scam is that I am also registered on the Government CSD, and had assumed that to be why I had received the RFQ.
Is there perhaps an IT team that are tracking the perpetrators?
My RFQ was for the supply and delivery of 2 x mobile light towers to Meintjies Street in Pretoria. this cannot be allowed as the actual suppliers will not be eager to do quotations anymore.
I would still like to know if their purpose is to get your banking details, or what it is that they are after and how they incorporate you into their bigger scheme.
