INTERNAL / EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT CLOSING DATE: Monday, 03 April 2023 at 12:00 DEPARTMENT: FINANCE DEPUTY DIRECTOR FINANCE (Finance, Reporting and Asset Management) REF: 2022 - 2023/25 Requirements: Grade 12 B.Comm or equivalent Degree in Finance Five (5) years relevant experience of which three (3) years must be at managerial level Expert knowledge in the Municipal Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulations, Municipal Finance Regulations and policies Ability to interpret and apply financial policies Knowledge of GRAP Good communication skills (written and verbal) Valid Code B Driver’s license The successful applicant / candidate must possess competencies as published in Annexure A of the Local Government: Municipal Staff Regulations promulgated in Government Gazette 45181 of 20 September 2021 Key Performance Areas: Manage the financial accounting and bookkeeping functions Compile the Annual and Interim Financial Statements Assist with coordination of audit activities including responses to audit queries and audit findings Maintain the ledger accounts including the management, reconciliation and clearing of all suspense accounts Responsible for reconciliation and management of the Municipal bank account Cash flow management and reporting Perform month-end and year-end closure processes and reporting requirements Manage the maintenance of of financial batches Ensure the reconciliation of Asset Register and trial balance is performed monthly Execute asset verification on regular basis Compliant with the provision of the MFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP and other legislative requirements pertaining to management of asset. BASIC ANNUAL SALARY: R 576 360.00 per annum (level 2) plus normal company benefits and 25% non-pensionable allowances
