GAUTENG PARTNERSHIP FUND (GPF) INTERNAL VACANCY Specialist Human Resource Services Reference Number: SHR201902 Business Unit: Human Resource Purpose of the job: To provide Human Resources support for GPF. Provide leadership support in the management of the Human Resources division in terms of the applicable legislation and ensure compliance.
Assist the HR manager to investigate employee complaints and work with managers to respond and resolve. Maintain good rapport and working relationships with employees and supervisors in an effort to prevent, resolve, and/or cope with personnel issues affecting the workplace. Assist supervisors and managers in handling and resolution of personnel and/or performance issues. Assist with interpreting union contracts; Helping to negotiate collective bargaining agreements; Assist with resolving grievances; and advising mangers on union contract interpretation
Compensation and Benefits: Facilitate remuneration including employee benefits. Oversee the maintenance of remuneration records. Assist with communicating benefits to employees as needed. Provide market data as requested by managers. Ensure company practices comply with the relevant employment laws and regulatory requirements. Budgeting: Provide inputs in the development of the annual HR budget. Facilitate the financial resources of HR programmes and projects in accordance with the PFMA. System Administration: Maintain HRIS/ Sage 300 People system for the GPF ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and other employee transactions. Process monthly payroll for the GPF. Personnel Management: Actively promote the GPF values. Provide support in the management of the HR unit. Organisational Development: Implement business processes and organizational effectiveness interventions, as and when required. Manage the process of replacement planning, succession planning, key employee retention design, change management, workforce management and development. Diversity Management: creation and promotion of diversity-oriented events, minority and protected class inclusion programs and cross-cultural workshops. Occasionally, these officers are called on to produce best practices in diversity material, promoting inclusiveness and ensuring continued compliance with government regulations.
Requirements: Relevant Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management Valid driver's license Minimum of 5 years’ experience Knowledge of Public Service Regulatory Framework, Human Resources Legislation and Prescripts, Labour Relations Procedures Good organizational, administration and planning skills and ability to work effectively under pressure without immediate supervision Professional registration with SABPP will be an added advantage Technical Knowledge of the Sage People 300 Diversity Management Understanding of Change Management process Understanding of organisational development Project management skills Knowledge and understanding of labour laws and legislation Leadership Planning and organizing Controlling Influence and leading Delegating Problem solving and analysis Team work Generic Decision making Analytical skills Creativity Self-management Customer focus responsiveness Communication Applications must be submitted to the following Human Resource Office: 82 Grayston Drive, 1st Floor, Sandton 2196 Email: careers@gpf.org.za CLOSING DATE: 28 June 2019 The Gauteng Partnership Fund is committed to employment equity.
