GAUTENG GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (GGDA) CALL FOR APPLICATIONS MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT AND PAYROLL (PERMANENT COTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT WITH THREE MONTHS’ PROBATION, GRADE D3, SALARY PACKAGE: R675 066 TOTAL COST OF EMPLOYMENT PER ANNUM)
Supporting the development of Key Sectors of the economy in line with the economic development and industrial strategies of the province by carrying out:
The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Finance Manager he/she will be responsible for the following: KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage Debtors by executing the following: Prepare reconciliations, Resolve queries Receipt payments etc Manage Cash Book and payments by serving as a EFT data Capturer on online banking system, Ensuring that payment batches are reviewed by FM’s prior to approval by designated officials, Capture receipts and payments on a daily basis (payroll and creditors related payments) Prepare all journals and prepare payroll accruals on a monthly basis and ensure journals are accounted in the correct month Reallocate expenses based on monthly management accounts Perform monthly reconciliations on payroll, travel expenses and project expenses reconciliations Attend to foreign creditors and ensure adherence to the reserve bank regulations Payroll administration Compile Financial Reports/management accounts for the Holdings and Group AS MINIMUM APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Commerce Degree qualification. At least 3 years of experience in accounting finance Working knowledge of PFMA and relevant regulations/laws Financial management and budgeting. LEVEL OF COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices Knowledge of Auditor General requirements Knowledge of the State Procurement Policies and Practices Knowledge of Accounting systems and packages Knowledge of Auditing and Accounting Practice APPLICATION MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING: Curriculum vitae, Certified copies of qualifications; and Certified copy of the identity documentation.
