TEMPORARY ONLINE MARKETING OFFICER Manager/Supervisor: HOD: Corporate Services Position Status: Temporary (6 Months Contract) Grade: P08 Position Reference Code: ONMAR2024 Freedom Park is a national monument and heritage destination dedicated to honouring all those who gave their lives in the struggles for freedom. It is established as a cultural institution reporting to the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture and is situated at Salvokop, on the southern tip of Pretoria. Freedom Park is looking for ethical individuals who have a passion to contribute to national reconciliation and social cohesion. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Online Marketing Officer. JOB SUMMARY A dedicated young person with an understanding of online media. Brand Transformation -by infusing creativity and innovation into our social media campaigns, we aim to reshape our brand image and make our spaces more appealing to a diverse set of professionals. A dynamic young Social Media Specialist will leverage their energy and enthusiasm to draw attention to our spaces, turning them into thriving hubs for work, collaboration, and social interactions. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Content Creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to text posts, images, videos, and infographics. Social Media Management: Manage and maintain our organization’s social media accounts, including the website, intranet, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relevant platforms. Audience Engagement: Monitor, respond to, and engage with the online community, fostering positive interactions and building relationships with followers and fans. Social Media Advertising: Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to increase brand visibility and achieve marketing goals. Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of social media efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvements. Trend Analysis: Stay current with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our organization’s digital presence is up to date. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team and other relevant departments to align social media strategies with overall marketing and communication goals. PREREQUISITES

JOB SUMMARY To plan, co-ordinate and execute the communications activities of Freedom Park so as to maximise the exposure of the brand of the monument to multiple audiences across different platforms. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Implement and monitor all communications activities on behalf of the organisation. Distribute messaging across multiple communication platforms. Ensure maximum exposure for the organisation on traditional media platforms (radio, television, and print media), online, as well as social media. Be responsible for internal communication, external communication, and media relations. Monitor and evaluate the impact of the organisation’s communication strategy. Monitor the coverage of the organisation on multiple platforms and compile reports on all communication activities. Lead in the identification of communication opportunities for the organisation. Conduct stakeholder mapping analysis and develop stakeholder database, as well as managing stakeholder relations. PREREQUISITE
