The following will be an added advantage: Masters’ Degree; registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a candidate or professional engineer, technologist or technician, relevant teaching and/or industry experience; higher education teaching qualification will be an added advantage; Assessor and Moderator course will be an added advantage; a valid EB driver’s licence. Key Performance Areas: Facilitate teaching and learning; conduct applied research and carry out community engagement activities LECTURER: FORESTRY (CONTRACT) Ref. The following will be an added advantage: Masters’ Degree, Higher Education Teaching qualification, relevant teaching and/or industry working experience, registration with the South African Council of Natural Science Professionals (SACNASP) and /or South African Institute of Forestry (SAIF); a valid EB driver’s licence. Key Performance Areas: Plan, facilitate teaching and learning activities; prepare manuals, conduct assessments, conduct relevant applied research, and supervise students’ experiential learning and research projects. Engage in community activities. TECHNICIAN: AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING (CONTRACT) Ref. Number: 003/02/2023 Duration: 6months Requirements: Grade 12 plus N6 higher technical certificate in electro-mechanical engineering, trade test millwright qualification or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with workshop equipment and tools including lathes, milling machines, welding equipment, diesel engines, and transmissions trains, experience in electrical and electronic appliances. Valid Driver’s License EB. Key Performance Areas: In liaison with the lecturer concerned, develop a plan that clearly outlines the practical course requirements, rationale, goals, and objectives. Develop and prepare practical plans/manuals according to HEQC Pro-forma requirements.
