EZEMVELO KZN WILDLIFE INTERNAL & EXTERNAL ADVERT HANDYMAN (B2) COMMERCIAL SERVICES – GIANTS CASTLE POST NUMBER: 208803 TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R 268 137,68 per annum The KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Board, trading as Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, is a PFMA Schedule 3C public entity established in terms of the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Management Act (Act No. 9 of 1997). THE ENTITY: The entity is responsible for the management of nature conservation within the Province of KwaZulu-Natal including protected areas as well as the development and promotion of ecotourism and facilities within the protected areas. Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife wishes to appoint a suitable candidate for the position of Handyman. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an effective and efficient maintenance service to the Station through the implementation of a daily preventative maintenance plan. QUALIFICATIONS • Grade 10 • N3 Certificate in Building, Plumbing, Electricity or Bricklaying & Plastering will be an added advantage • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence EXPERIENCE • 2-3 Years’ experience in the built environment (bricklaying, plumbing, carpentry, Mechanical and Basic electrical, welding) • Basic administration knowledge will be an added advantage KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Perform all Maintenance Duties • Water and Waste Plant duties • Tools and Equipment Maintenance and Storage • Building and Infrastructure duties KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED • Plastering skills • Plumbing skills • Painting skills • Basic electrical repairs • Carpentry skills • Communication skills • Organisational and planning skills • Welding skills • Bricklaying skills ACCOMODATION Basic accommodation will be provided If you meet the above-mentioned requirements and competencies for this position, you are invited to apply.
